With one person in the car, entry is $4. On foot or by bike it is $2. The center opens at 9 a.m. on weekdays and closes one hour before sunset. The park is often full on weekends.

Kayak and paddleboard near Miami Beach

Booking tips for kayak and paddleboard tours

  1. Wear the life jacket

Every tour includes a life jacket or life vest. Keep it on, even in shallow water.

  2. Check the wind and the flags

Wind makes paddling much harder. At the beach, a red flag means strong surf or currents.

  3. Count the extra costs

Oleta charges $6 per car for park entry. The boat tour does not include meals or transport to the marina.

  4. Use free cancellation

All eight picks let you cancel for free up to 24 hours before. Move your date if storms are forecast.
